    Age | 37

    Occupation | Journalist and Author

    Martial Status | Single (Divorced)

    Family 1x Son (Miles)

    Personality

Bright, cheery and inquisitive, Rachel is someone who laughs easily and is blessed with an uncanny ability to get into the good books of almost anyone.

    History

Rachel started her journalistic career at her hometown paper, The Hopefield Sentinel as a twenty one year old reporter. A little over a year later, she was hired on to a major daily in the big city. Working as a crime reporter, she was an immediate success and quickly moved up the ladder.

Over the years she cultivated a reputation as a dogged investigator and determined reporter. However, even with her success, Rachel groew tired of big city living and the demands of working for a paper that enjoyed nationwide circulation. With a young son and a divorce looming, she knew she wanted to live and raise Miles in a place she knew they'd both be happy. It has been seven years since Rachel and Miles moved back to her hometown and she has not regretted it once.

Two years ago, Rachel wrote a number of articles for the Sentinel, taking a detailed look at some of the State's best known mysteries and urban legends. A hit with the locals, the articles provided Rachel with an idea for her debut novel; Milo Harvey, the paranormal PI.

Only a few days after release, Rachel began to realise she had a hit on her hands. Two years and a substantial profit later, her publisher is pushing hard for a sequel.

    Name | Kenneth "Kenny" Farrow

    Age| 39

    Occupation | Police Investigator

    Martial Status | Divorced (Twice)

    Family |

Two kids (Son: David and Daughter: Jenna), both in first ex-wife's custody.

    Personality |

Kenny is overly industrious man who gets lost in his own work and tends to forget about everything else. Led to the downfall of both his marriages, which he dealt with by diving even farther into his job. He's hardly approachable if he's being himself and not trying to act the part of a comforting police investigator for information. He knows he's made many mistakes in his life and the pressure of those weighing on his conscience gives him a darker humor and personality. Don't expect him to laugh at a joke, but you may get a chuckle if you do something entirely unfortunate, like run into a glass door. He was a boisterous and excitable man, but the job and the recent second marriage have left him in a darker place.

    History |

Working his way through the ranks, Kenny spent a decade as a beat cop straight out of high school. He'd seen everything Hopefield had to offer in its criminals, mostly domestic disputes and drunk locals, but drugs were never far out either. The town isn't terribly large, grimy work is still grimy. He married his first wife, Theresa, during this time and had his two children who are now fifteen and seventeen. He communicates rarely with them currently, but the daughter Jenna more often than the others.

He eventually lateral moved over to the investigator path and took too much of a liking to it. Within the first year he had racked up double the hours and lost control of his marriage. His wife had multiple affairs, but he never let the kids know. He hadn't been there for them much to begin with. He pays his own lesser amount of child support to make sure his kids are doing well, but was never brought to court over the family business. Kenny never fully recovered from the divorce, instead logging even more hours into his work for years.

He met his second wife, Maggie, five years ago and was married within the year. They shared many interests, including photography and reading that they attended groups together for. Until last year when he had found less time for those groups and worked hard on getting a better promotion to lead investigator. The quest broke him and his wife apart, leading to a quiet yet painful divorce. They both loved each other at the end, but realized they were living lives separately. He moved out yet again and currently lives alone in a condo until he gets around to buying something more fitting. Most of his things are still in boxes six months later. He's still on decent track for the promotion, but the chief put him on a mandatory vacation.

With the month off currently, Kenny is trying to find things to do that don't remind him of his past. He's thinking of chasing a few local legends, something about a haunted hotel. May stay the night just to see. Maybe some fear instead of pain would make him feel alive again.
