That moment when you're doing your work and your manager asks you about a task you're on this week, but he does it in a group chat with others, and you respond to him there and his next message is a gif of Chris Farley taking off his shirt in what appears to be a seductive way and is captioned: that is correct.

Nothing against Chris Farley, but I'm scarred for life now because my manager sent that to me. I wanted to chug my bottle of Wild Turkey afterward because this isn't the first time this week the guy's done something disturbing or unethical. I'd look for another job if the world weren't already ending.

The nice thing about group chats rather than water cooler discussions is that they can be screenshotted and sent to HR.

If I weren't concerned with retaliation, the email to HR would have been sent already.

TMW you are finally meeting the daylight again. Well, I'll be damned. It feels like I've been living in Finland these past few weeks.

That moment when you realize your dad met the actor who played Abe Sapien. And he has a photo of Doug Jones lovingly caressing your stepmom's face.

My little fan girl heart exploded.

TMW you realize the negative effects of long term writing and reading only in english. Writing in greek feels so... challenging. I'm so used in slang I can't write properly and what's even weirder is that whenever I do attempt to write something in literary form most words that pop up in my head are in english, which afterwards I have to translate in greek via word-bloody-reference since my brain gets jammed and I'd never get finished otherwise. Uh! So frustrating! Furthermore, my spelling is a joke. The page is glowing red with all those underlines. So disgraceful. At least the inspiration is flowing a-plenty.

TMW you have a vid call with the writing group in the playroom,
cause it has better lighting than the living room. :p

Hah! I had/have times when I'm seriously wondering which language I'm currently reading/speaking. It takes analytical thinking to figure out which .

I wonder if you actually read one of his books?

I got about 10 pages into the 'Helicopter Man' before I broke down laughing. To each his own :D

Never read any of them. I just google the title images every so often, scroll through them, and remind myself that the world is still full of good cheer and humor.

I'm doing research for a book proposal about the August derecho and came across this. The whole video is interesting, but amazing footage starts at 3:40.

That moment when everything changes forever...

"We've got nearly 600lbs of man-meat in the barrel"?

    Sounds like... Well, yeah. :)
