Hello! I'm new here, and I joined because I need help with a Valentine's gift for my boyfriend as my writing skills are very lacking. We've been long distance since covid, so I'm sending him a pirate themed care package for Valentine's Day. Part of what I want to include is a message in a bottle, maybe from the perspective of writing to him as he is out at see. Any suggestions or help anyone could provide would be incredibly appreciated.
At Xmas there I made a pirate treasure map for my son. (I also got a treasure chest, filled it with trinkets and buried down the creek, for him to later follow the map and dig it up - he's 6). For the map I did all the writing with a calligraphy pen, then stained it with tea and burnt round the edges. I'd do the same with a pirate love letter. For the text you could translate it to Ye Olde English - https://lingojam.com/EnglishtoShakespearean
Send him a little treasure chest filled with chocolate coins. Here is a resource you may find handy in the Pirate Love poetry department: http://www.lovepoemsandpoets.com/poems/pirate "Yar, there be rough seas ahead. Batten down the hatches, and secure the booty. Don't want me doubloons to go to Davy Jones locker."
