Thanks for your sincerity and interest, but all I'm trying to do is put in some foreshadowing/puzzle solving for a character in a world where magic is vanishingly rare but on occasion incredibly real.
Of course, now I'm thinking of a Sons of Anarchy-esque story about an outlaw MC, but based on The Tempest instead of Hamlet. A storm forces the MC off the freeway onto a narrow byroad where they all get lost and end up marooned in a cornfield where they are harassed by magical scarecrows, one of whom is the long-lost brother of The Head Biker.

This I can see as a wonderful plot device using tarot or Ouija board or another element. Read Dune, Messiah and Children. Paul’s sister Alia is a very powerful individual but becomes consumed because of her inability to see the future. She becomes the most powerful human in the universe and yet is flawed. Paul himself achieves a God like status to then realize with all his wealth and magic he’s turned his society into the very same monster he was fighting against. The three wishes idea as a poisoned challis. The three books look very closely at similar ideas. Many characters having OP abilities and yet fail to see the bigger picture. Becoming out played by mere mortals... Like others have offered here, if you want a reading of any kind let me know. Just remember though I’m the only one that cannot predict the future... MartinM
Just a note to all who have offered help: My semester just started Monday, and plot twist! Is going from live classroom lessons to online only this coming Monday. Everyhing else in my life is on hold right now.
