    Hi all:

New member. I've been writing a long time, but only decided less than a year ago to pursue writing full-time. Here to find community and learn to overall be a better writer.

For those of you who feel like answering, what are things you wish you knew as a new writer?

    Hello and welcome!

How to write dialogue with proper punctuation and tags. I'm getting there, but I still haven't fully grasped it. And also understanding show vs tell better. Good article about it on here: https://www.writingforums.org/threads/show-dont-tell-and-exposition.168912/
Also, you can't really know everything from start. Learning is a process that may help develop your own unique writing style.

    Hello and welcome. :)

What are the things I wish I knew? How much I didn't know.

    Angelarde,

Glad you joined us, and hoping your pursuit of full-time writing flourishes.

I guess, if I had to go back, what I wish I knew was to get that second book in the series out sooner. Things turned out well, anyway.
