    Dusting off the Shelves

Hello all! You can call me Maka, I'm a 26 year-old non-binary hobby writer and have been for at least 15 years now, and I'm looking to really hone my craft so I can tell the stories I want to tell! I'm based in Florida and I have a little hamster that keeps me awake at night. Recently I've been really into reading and writing sci-fi, I just finished Axiom's End by Lindsay Ellis and I absolutely loved it, and at the moment I'm working on a small little love story between a human and an alien.
I've never been on a writing forum before, so it'll be a bit of a learning curve for me, but I think I'll catch on fast! Thanks so much for having me c:

First rule of writing - don't omit important details! What's the hamster's name??? heh :)

Welcome to the forums, Maka! Always glad to see another scifi-er about.
