    Scene help

Discussion in 'Plot Development' started by TheCorvinianGeneral, Jun 21, 2021.

So, Im currently developing my first act, and the MC is currently fighting some antagonists, while the dueteragonist watches being the first time he sees the protagonist. The latter eventually got himself into trouble, and was wounded. How should the dueteragonist respond logically? Does he call emergency or tries to help the protagonist himself, or should there be some build up before the scene?

We can't tell you how he'll act, because we don't know him. Put yourself in his shoes, and say the first thing that comes to mind - chances are, it's what he would do.

Not sure. I would say the "respond logically" part depends on what needs to happen in the story next.

Somehow @TheCorvinianGeneral , I have a feeling your protag is going to try to do the protecting. A normal person like me would call emergency services, but character is not going to do the normal thing, or it wouldn't be a novel. My thought is it would be more exciting if they tried to do the protecting themselves. What do you think?
