I think "attempted cash grab" is the technical term. I'm not opposed to the concept, but it would have been nice if it wasn't so copy/paste. Oh, funny would have been good too.
I still want to know how many trips to the Fast and Furious well they plan to make. What are we up to now…10?
It is nine actually, and the saga is not bad. They leave each one on a cliff hanger, so therefore there needs to be another one made.
That's Ellen Ripley committing suicide by falling into a vat of molten lead at the end of Alien 3, btw
I'm not a fan of "Aliens". "Robocop 2" ~ First one was an absolute gem, but the 2nd was.... like a parody. The third one was a 12 rating!!! "Karate Kid 2" ~ Awful. The show "Cobra Kai" has made up for the 2 awful sequels, but the scars still show. "House 2" ~ Love the original... don't love the sequel" I was going to say "Teen Wolf Too", but looking back on it, what made him a Werewolf? I didn't see him tear the flesh off anyone in that movie! He was just a teenage boy with a weird hormonal imbalance. "Airplane 2" ~ Just looked it up. I'm so sad that Mike Reiss and Al Jean (The Simpsons) were involved in the screenplay, as it was ferociously bad. First one was a classic. "Major League 2" ~ First one was surprisingly good! "Caddyshack 2" ~ First one was a comedy classic. Second one was... not. It's also fashioned to bash "Ghostbusters 2", but I kinda liked it.
I always get a sinking feeling when I see a sequel to a movie I like. I hope there's never a follow-up to District 9. There's always talk of that. Same goes for Edge of Tomorrow. There's these little (relatively speaking) movies out there that were surprises of the day, and any attempt at building on them is going to fail at 99%.
You mean actual Aliens like the Greys, right, not the movie? I think that was actually the first thing I saw with Nobu McCarthy, at least that I was old enough to remember, so it is an acceptable sequel to me.
You should check that one out. The MC is weirdly lovable. I mean, he's misguided, but completely relatable in his failures. Kind of reminds me of Michael Scott from The Office. I wish there were more unlikely, flawed heroes like him in movies.
It's been a long time since I seen the title, I'm glad you mentioned it! I can't sleep so I'll try to find it now. Thank you
I just wish that movie worked on a deeper level other than the obvious. It tried to do a lot in a short time and I think it kind of drowned out its own themes with the attempt at action. The whole 'engine fluid turns you into them' and 'the only effect we have for their weapons is lazy people popping explosions' got me irritated. Especially the second issue. I've been seeing the lazy person popping thing a lot lately and it gets really old.
None of the sequels to "The Wolf Man" (1941) live up to its predecessor: "Frankenstein meets the Wolf man/House of Frankenstein/House of Dracula" and yes, "Abbott and Costello meets the Wolf Man". All were awesome, but the original is a classic. Once again, I'm going to mention "Thor: Ragnarok" and "The Lost Boys 2: The Tribe" because they are just that bad. If I ever watch "Thor: Ragnarok" for the third time, I will take my own life. No. I'm not joking. The only "Lethal Weapon" sequels that were any good were the ones made by Mac, Charlie and Dennis.
You need to explain this to me. I’m a huge fan of the franchise, but who the hell are Mac, Charlie and Dennis? Please don’t tell me you’re talking about the god-awful TV show??
Nah. I'm not talking about the TV show. I've never seen it. Anything with a Wayans in it is reason to avoid. I was talking about "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia".
