Where would I look for becoming an animator?

Discussion in 'Collaboration' started by naruzeldamaster, Jul 26, 2021.

So I have like, a dozen or so ideas that I want to make into short films.
However I can't afford film school, nor the many resources needed to create things.
Is there anywhere I could look to find someone willing to work on a project with me?

Sadly the only ability I (currently) have is the ability to write stuff.
And if I'm being honest the stuff I'm writing is not really new or exciting.
I'm just curious if there's some way for me to become an animator but not have to do the prep work.
I'm talking like making the character models/rigging them and such.
I could probably do the animation and things given enough time.
But as far as modeling goes...yeah...I'm screwed. lol

YouTube usually has tutorials for things like this, so you could try looking for animation tutorials on there. Realistically for any new skill there will always be prep work, and for animation there will likely be investments in software etc. even if you can learn for free.
