I am so happy to have found this board. My writing journey has been going on all my life, it is my first love, but I have been a neglectful lover back. I started my true writing journey in high school, though I was writing long before that, but it was in high school where my writing became more than just a once in awhile hobby, it was the main reason I got in the morning, the last thing I would do at night. In English class I wrote, in History class I wrote, in Science and Spanish, in Math especially I wrote, my stories were far more important than anything the teacher was talking about. Looking back it is shocking to me how much writing I did back then, never slowing down, never taking a break, never even over thinking it, I just wrote and wrote and wrote some more. Not saying I was the greatest writer ever, but I really enjoyed it, and many said I was good at it. I still don't think I could have made a career out of it, but I didn't even try. For the most part I'm fine with that, I have a job it pays okay, and I enjoy my work and find it rewarding (most of the time). But it saddens me that I did not stick with it, even if just for myself. I have decided I want to get back into writing, and for me having people to discuss the process is a big step in the right direction. So thank you all, for your support and I am here to support you too!
Welcome @hmnut. Hope the forum lives up to your expectations. Browsing the workshop and critiquing some submissions would be a good start. Over the weeks you’ll get a chance to share your work too. As long as you’ve critiqued some stories, you’re all set to go!
