Please tell me you copied and pasted that and added the "Juds" manually. Because if you typed it all out yourself....
The lyrics could use a little tweak: Hey Jud He's such a stud Take a problem and make it bigger Remember Complaining is an artform Then you begin the bitch and gripefest
A small book / DVD haul: Seven of One (a series of one-off 30m comedies starring Ronnie Barker) The Book of a Thousand Poems Poems - an anthology Emergency Kit - Poems for Strange Times Mockinbird by Walter Tevis - according to the cover he’s ‘Science fiction’s great neglected master...’
I looked him up. He wrote, "The Man Who Fell to Earth", "The Hustler", and "Queen's Gambit". I don't know if that makes him a 'neglected master', but I think we can all agree he has been more successful than me!
Well I love the film adaptations of those first two, so there’s that I suppose. I just liked the sound of the blurb for this Mockingbird.
Wow! Well see, if they had included this little brief but important statement I would have no problem considering him a 'neglected master'.
Well, to be fair, most of his success lies outside of Science Fiction. And while he might be a master, or even a neglected master. I don't think his bio supports a designation of, a "Neglected Master of Science Fiction".
I really liked "The Queen's Gambit", if you haven't seen it {In the USA, Netflix, IIR, maybe Amazon}. Well worth the effort of trying to see it.
Well, I’m currently browsing my DVD shelves looking for tonight’s film. I felt like I needed a Tom Cruise fix so settled on Minority Report, but maybe I need to look this up, see if it’s something I’d fancy. ETA: I see The Queen’s Gambit is a 2020 mini series. The ‘mini-series‘ and ‘2020‘ is enough to put me right off. Back to Tom Cruise.
Oh, man. If you like your films with a slow burn, and slightly weird / obscure, I urge you to check out TMWFtE. It’s brilliant.
