Just watched a video about Emil Sitka, affectionately known as the fourth stooge. Hold hands you love birds. He almost literally became a stooge, playing Larry's brother Harry after Larry suffered a major stroke and couldn't act anymore, in the early 70's I think. Apparently they actually shot a couple of episodes (or scenes or something ) with him in the role, but then Moe died and they scrapped the whole thing. Ah, what the heck? Here it is: That's Larry standing beside Shemp in the thumbnail—hard to recognize him without the trademark hair.

The one I've been playing a lot though is "Bonaparte Crossing the Rhine," which is different from the tune that I know as "Bonaparte Crossing the Rocky Mountains." However, the tune that I know as "Bonaparte Crossing the Rocky Mountains" is also sometimes called "Bonaparte Crossing the Rhine," but the tune that I know as "Bonaparte Crossing the Rhine" does not appear to be known as "Bonaparte Crossing the Rocky Mountains." I believe the difference is a transatlantic one. "Bonaparte Crossing the Rocky Mountains" has a couple dozen other names, too, including "Bonaparte Crossing the Alps"--in Scotland (at least?) it's also called "The Battle of Waterloo." It's a very good tune, which is probably why it has so many names.
checking out what is "woke ideology" . . . both positive and negative meaning (depending on whether one is pro or con), people give to it. And for the pejorative interpretation I realize the relevance of conspiracy theorist and the like . . . why are their voices so loud (figuratively speaking)?? Although I realize the internet inflates their numbers.

I’ve been to a political rally! Pics included. The rally was for codification of Rowe vs Wade, and to keep abortion legal and safe.
My take is that the term is a reference to being "woke" to reality. Of course there are many perceptions of what is real. I see science as real, but this is not true of everyone, and people can describe themselves as woke based on alternate realities.
'Woke' has positive connotations? I've only ever heard it as a colloquial negative. Oh okay, according to the Webster... No matter your stance on political things: using woker in a sentence while maintaining a straight face is going to be a challenge.
I have just figured I don't know how to use the multi-quote function, so I won't (for now)! @Bone2pick & @Not the Territory , I never heard of it, so I picked what came up first on my internet search to be how it is used in the world , though I got a sense it couldn't be anything that positive just given the choice of words to describe the nature of the term--being attentive to to racial and social injustice. any time there is a new term drawing attention to something so widespread and commonly accepted like racial and social injustice, I always think of conspiracy theorist and the like, I take them to be all part of the same political category.
