Our company won 2 Safety Awards so the whole team had to trek to London all suited & booted. We first spent an hour wondering around the Expo looking at the stalls to see what new technology / systems are on the market. I picked up a number of 'freebie pens' wherever I could. I now have a nice selection to keep me going for a while. Then we went into the conference room - 2 of our directors went up to receive the award - our team shouted and whistled and clapped hands like seals. Afterward we had the team photograph taken and then scrambled off to the pub for lunch and a few glasses of the good stuff. How has your day been?
I put it in the Not Happy thread, but will put it here as well. I fucking hate this week. Shooting in Texas Parents exposed to COVID Slammed at work Neurotic ***** of a secretary yelled at me for a mistake I made — one mistake, that was fixable. It’s like she has it out for me. Whenever she’s stressed, yells at me.
Well, bless her heart, no doubt that secretary is a paragon of perfection herself and just can't bear the human foibles of others.
