35 years ago my mother died and in her belongings we found a notebook in which she had written a "diary" of her time with the military Nurses of WW2. She landed in France just 6 days after the invasion right up to the rehabilitation of the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp. Something she did describe to us as being utterly horrific. For years I've thought it would make a good story and now that I've retired it is my intention to try and incorporate what she wrote except I'm pooping myself thinking about it. So, I'm hoping I'll get LOTS of encouragement.

This is fantastic! There are countless WWII stories, but the portion of them focused on the women of the war is far fewer. I'm very interested to see where this goes. Hope to see you in the Workshop!

The Workshop does have a strict policy that you must provide 2 substantive pieces of feedback on other works already in the Workshop before you can post one of your own, so make sure you're giving what you want to get from it. I also encourage you to give feedback on others' work even if you don't have something to post yourself -- it's what I'm doing at the moment since I don't currently have a WIP, and it's a good way to get credits for when you do have something to post.
