Why would I?

 

Wouldn't you want to be aware that you had a disease that was destroying your brain? Or not?

 

If there's nothing I can do, then why would I wish to know?

 

Don't a lot of people find comfort in having a diagnosis instead of having a mystery illness?

If the diagnosis was Alzheimer’s, would I even remember the diagnosis?

 

If you did remember the diagnosis, would that be a sign that you don't have Alzheimer's?

 

Is it true that your childhood memories are the last ones you lose so you don't recognize your spouse or kids, but you remember all the traumatic crap that happened to you as a kid?

 

Isn't that a bit bleak?

 

Is there anything not bleak about getting old?

 

Plenty of things, like not caring about stupid things any more?

 

Being ariound to enjoy it?

 

Did you know that the suicide rate for senior citizens is greater than the rate for their younger counterparts?

 

Is it wrong to long for the shotgun-wielding, front-porch sitting, Pabst Blue Ribbon drinking, crotchety days of tomorrow?

 

Wouldn't you be living in the future if you did that?

 

are you going to the future to check?

 

What if we destroy the planet before that future gets here?
