As much as that would be a blast, I really don't need a distraction. In fact, I need the opposite. I've been serisouly slacking when it comes to my studies lately. I'm just whining because it's difficult when I don't have someone at my disposal to answer the questions I have. I have to wait until Saturday morning for my private bible studies with my pastor, or for a night my friends have free so they can go over it with me.

Also, I really like to whine.

You should just text your friends over and over and over when you have questions. That's what I would do. :D

Unfortunately, the questions I have need more than a 160 character limit. hahaha

I prefer to speak face to face so that I can really get own to the nitty gritties. It's cool. I just need to learn some patience. I see them all tomorrow at a prayer meeting anyway.

    I want junk food....

Sure, come on over! I have ice cream, too. Not that I'm eating (don't want everyone to think I'm a total fatty;)), but ya know...in my freezer.

I would, but I have to go to work for myself. And then I have the first half of my derby tryouts. You know when there's something you have to do that makes you hella nervous, so you just want to do it and get it over with? That's how I feel right now about tryouts.

I have to play boss for the first time at this job tomorrow and I'm not looking forward to it. The employee I'll be supervising tends to be rather insubordinate. If she's unwilling to listen to her boss, what makes them think she'll listen to me?!

Oh man, that sounds exciting! I'm wishing you luck. I know what you mean! You just want it over with so you can say you did it and get to that 'it doesn't make me nervous anymore' point. I have my fingers crossed for you. :)

Thanks, Mandie. :) I don't think we're doing anything on skates tomorrow, so at least I don't have to be too nervous for that...but that just means that I have to be nervous even longer while I wait for the on-skates part of the tryout.

Good luck tomorrow! Is she insubordinate because she dislikes the boss, or just because she's one of those people? Maybe having you there instead of her usual boss will help things...

No, she's just one of those people. She was talking back to the boss within the first few minutes of starting the job. It's pretty bad. But the boss can't afford to fire her until we have had time to train a new person. It's really irritating.

Anyway, I have to get my butt to bed if I want to be up in time. I'll make sure you keep my fingers crossed for boy on skates and off. :)

    Night

Dude, I feel for you guys. We're in that situation with several of the employees at my store, and it definitely sucks having to put up with people who aren't worth the payroll...

Pretty good. Got through a day of being boss without any incidents. Had a fantastic nap. Had a great night with friends at a prayer meeting. Listening to some really informative and entertaining sermons. Gonna go to bed feeling productive for sure.

My last house-sitting experience pretty much ruined the whole idea for me... *shivers*

I'm finally done with finals from fall semester! I started later so I ended later... which sucks as I only have this weekend off before spring starts! Looks like 2011 will be nothing but endless schooling for me.

Em...what is house-sitting? Is it like cleaning up the house or something?

Someone goes on holiday and you just make sure the house is okay.

Eg - Feed the pets, water the plants every few days and play video games on their 70 inch Plasma. ;)

It was my parents place, so it was all good.

I would say you should talk to Joel, but I don't think he put much effort into choosing his tuxedo for our wedding.

I house sat for Joel's mom once all by my lonesome, and it was creeeeepy being in that big house all by myself.
