Still, I felt sorry for King Harold. He meets his end in Hastings with an arrow in his eye. What a way to go, and he was barely king for a year.
Funnily enough, didn't mention anything about them being native I just like them better. EDIT: I tend not to feel bad for most medieval warlords. Most were power-hungry, egotistical and endless violent individuals. Granted, for the timeframe they were in that was probably the appropriate way to be.
Haha, I'm of German ancestry and I lived there for a while, so I have to "like" this...lol. I had an awesome V-day dinner with my boyfriend. We've been together for roughly a year.
My word count is dropping a few hundred every time I edit. That's awesome. I'm getting the count down for the music and the choreography. It's greatness.
I'm writing again. I have so much work to do, that I'm a complete idiot to be sat here making stuff up, but it's been that long since I've actually been able to write any fiction, that I'm just enjoying the happy at the moment
I'm writing again as well! After months of delaying, I decided to start all over again and just let the characters speak to me. Lo and behold, one of my protagonists included a character I've never seen before within the first sentence.
^Congrats, Link I too have begun to write again. This time I've just put aside my thinking to outline and have begun and proceeded one step at a time, incorporating new twists and turns to keep me satisfied and intrigued. It's coming along quite well. It's more of a back story-story, involving characters of a bigger tale I was going to write. Thing was, I got so fed up with going in circles each day, and starting at the same point, that I just started to write the other night. And I'm very pleased with it. It does have very few description of the character's surroundings (the setting is a dangerous forest) and more dialogue. But it's okay with me
Just found out I get a day off on my birthday. Oh yeah. Actually, once I'm through this week I have very little left to do. 4 weeks of just going Hell for leather. Next week isn't quite a week off, but it may as well be, only being in uni Thursday and Friday and being in London until Monday before that. Slightly miffed that the week commencing January 10th was a designated holiday week. Not for me it wasn't. I was back in sessions at that point.
I'm feeling good today. I got lots of stuff crossed off my to-do list of things to do before the move. I bought Discount Chocolate Tuesday stuff for Keedy and Amber who are coming over and going to watch The Corpse Bride with me, and I put oil in my car all by myself
Listening to music and I'm going to update my movie reviews...and edit my story so it's a good happy thing.
I just found an amazing deal for a house next year... It'd be less than half the price I'd be paying for the place I currently have set up. I'm talking to the owner now; he seems nice. Send well wishes my way though --he already has 20 applicants for two spots!
This isn't great happy news, but its happier in that after more than a week and a half of being sick, with this weekend being miserable, I think I'm finally starting to get better albeit very slowly, but it's something at least
Finally started moving on the spoken word project that's been percolating in the backwaters of my mind for the last few months. Computers and media are complicated things.
I made a high C on a test I barely studied for running on very little sleep. I'm kinda proud. Now to raise the bar off the freaking ground for the next one. >_>
We found an officiant for my little sister's wedding. His name is Joel. Yep. My Joel. Or, as I must know refer to him, Reverend Joel.
