Hiya Peoples - Someone Spare Me Some Advice For A Sec?

Discussion in 'New Member Introductions' started by Ralinde, Dec 3, 2011.

Hey guys - I did sign on here ages ago, back in August. Anyway, I'm from the Land Down Under. Live in Perth. It's warming up to the 'bastard hot' part of the year. I'm working away at my first novel. Going slowly but steadily.

Well, long story short, I have posted a blog entry once before on here when I first joined a few months ago. I've been bouncing around the site since and today I decided to post another entry. You think I can find the 'add new post' link? Ha ha, yeah. I can't find it. Say you log in, what links do you click on to get there? I swear I have been almost everywhere on this site looking for it and I can't seem to find it. If someone could let me know, I can at least work out if there might be something wrong with my account of maybe I've unknowingly been barred or something. I don't think I've done anything though, I think... and in any case, I can still do everything else on the site. Haven't seen a message in my inbox either saying I've been barred or something.

If someone could help me out, you'd be doing me a great favour.

Cheers guys and feel free whenever to message me if you like. I'm always up for sharing thoughts and opinions if there's a call for it.

Wow, you are a long ways away and in a totally different season. It's only 18 degrees fahrenheit in my neck of the woods. Snow on the ground and more on the way. I was just staring out my window to see if there was still ice all over the place before I read your post. As for the advice request, I'm afraid I can't help you much there. I'm new myself, and there are a lot of buttons on this website. I'd better let someone more savvy answer those questions, and I'll just leave you with a belated welcome to the site. :)

Why thank you! Can I just say welcome to you to. :-D

My housemate's boyfriend just flew in from Pennsylvania and he said it was about 4 degrees there. Yeouch. It's going to be 37 today which is about 100 fahrenheit wise and that's not as hot as it gets during summer. Can hit about 45 sometimes. Oh well. We like our good old beach barbies for Christmas.

Hm, still can't find the blog link. It was ridiculous the last time I tried to find it. Took me ages. Wish this site was just a tiny bit more navigation friendly.

Yeesh! That is smokin' hot. It can get that warm during our summers too. (We tend to swing across both ends of the temperature spectrum here. . . super hot to super cold.) I start to get pretty sluggish once it gets hot enough to fry eggs on the sidewalk.

I happened across this link: https://www.writingforums.org/faq.php?faq=vbblog_faq_reading_and_posting#faq_vbblog_faq_reading_and_posting_how_do_i_post that has some information about blog posting. But I didn't get much farther since I'm not sure that I'm allowed to post blogs yet (or I just totally missed the "add new post" button too). At least it has some information about the site navigation (if you haven't found it already :))
