I thought it was a good length for an introduction to a character The only thing you could've added is where he ends up; this'll help other posters determine how to react to your character.
Well, I was planning to him appear right in the middle of the fight scene with the Nasgar. So I''ll wait for another post or so from someone before I bring him in.
I realize now my own post didn't leave a lot to build on XD. My goal is that Ekard can run into the pod group and possibly bring the two groups together, or at least have a chance to communicate with both of them.
Great start FM! Glad to have you back in the RPGs I'm to exhausted to post tonight, I'll get something up tomorrow. 'Night y'all
I was wondering what was up with that. Sounds like you guys need more sleep! Got my post up, but its not my best. I'm not happy with the 'head-hopping' in the first section, but I'm a little short on time today. Sykis should be able to enter now. Feel free to fight each other, just mind the remember the rules, and don't forget to thrash a wolf now and then as they are still about. I'm looking forward to what the group with Wilde is going to decide to do...
BLARG! We totally forgot about Tulbuk! So Sorry about that Texan Ghandi!! Another thing that we (or at least I) forgot was that it is night-time in the scene, could we perhaps have TulBuk's arrival have been unnoticed (By all but Talzia) because of the dark? He could then lumber in or maybe be finally noticed by the other characters... Sorry Texan, it a challenge when there are so many players to keep track of, we'll get it sorted out here shortly.
While our group decides what to do next, I've decided to take the opportunity to have a little fight happen. Incoming ghouls!
I hope my post is alright with everyone. I didn't know to what extent I could harm the Nasgar, so I left that for you to decide.
I noticed that I missed that. I thought they were dragon people....I guess they are actually dragons. I killed the last ghoul, too. Oh, and Atlas said the Troll is bigger than the Dragon. I didn't read the specifications of Taliza, exactly how big is she? On that subject, I need to do a lot more reading, but I don't have all that much freetime right now. Anyhow, editing post in..3..2...1...
@FM, hint hint, get your guy through the portal already! @Texan, Great work with your character, I really love his simpleton nature! @the group with Magnalian, we only have a couple more posts before I break up the fight. If you want to do something, now is the time.
In the descriptions of your characters, Tulbuk is 15 feet tall, while Taliza is 8 feet tall (and 11 feet long). Although it's likely that Taliza may be more "massive" than Tulbuk, to Atlas' perspective, the troll is bigger than the dragon is long or tall.
Hmm, I guess the Troll just weights more, or Atlas was surprised to see an iron clad monster pop out of a portal with a hammer. Doesn't matter too much. Anyhow, for clarifications, Tulbuk and The Mountain are like alternate personalities, and the Mountain only comes out in fights. I should have had that in the character post, but I forgot to write that. To be general, the Mountain is a wolf, Tulbuk is a sheep.
I have a post prepared to move along the Atlas/Taliza/Tulbuk story line. I don't know if it is too presumptuous to write other character's conversations for them, so I am holding off on posting it. If I had my character listen in on, say, Atlas and Wilde talking about the ship, progressing the tactics and storyline, would that count as controlling them, because I am creating their conversation? Also, my post is just having Atlas and Wilde talk about the specifics of shutting down the Fusion reactor, and giving Tulbuk a reason to be there in the plans.
@Texan, I think that is in fact considered character control, as you might end up having them sound out of character, or have them say something that the original player would not want them to say. The solution to this is to collaborate with the players involved, so that the owner agrees on what his/her character is saying. You can collaborate with me or Magnan (Atlas and Wilde respectively) through the forum's private messaging system.
@CheddarCheese OK, thank goodness that I didn't post that. I think I will just wait for Atlas to hustle us off to the ship for stuff to write about. No reason to rush things.
Actually, I'm quite stumped on what my next post will be about. I don't want it to be more talking, as Atlas has already spoken quite a bit. I've tried starting a battle, but that was swatted aside pretty darn quickly. Since Atlas doesn't know anything about getting on to the ship, nor anything about what's happening over at the other group, I think it might be a good idea if someone else posted something first. I'll try to follow up on it as soon as possible.
I'm with Cheddar, I think its up to Magnan to move us ahead. This is his side-story after all and I have no idea where its going
So I am so so so so so so sorry that I haven't posted yet. A coupla things came up, and, well, I didn't think I'd be gone for a week, so... yeah, I miscalculated. A lot. Apologies. I'll get a post up just as soon as I read through the three pages of stuff I haven't seen (gaaahh you guys post so much... =P). Luckily Padoc wasn't doing anything important, so I'll just make up a reason why he missed the epic battle and whatnot. >____<
