No way Bella was going to be able to reach the shuttle group in time. She went back to help Isel when the odds went south.
Its awesome writing with such great people! Thanks for keeping this moving while I was out for the weekend, you guys are doing a great job! It'll take about two posts from me but I'm going to try to close out the battle scene between Isel and Magnalian so we can move on in the story. I'm a little busy, but I'll do my best to get the first post up today.
I've actually messaged Magnan for a response for my next post. Once he replies, I should have something up.
O.K., now that we are off in a sorts, where exactly is the shuttle, and what's between us and the shuttle? Or is it just a small waltz away? B.T.W, the complicated battle stuff going off in the Orb-seeking group is quite entertaining. It's all pretty cool.
The shuttle isn't too far away, other ghouls nothing else should obstruct us. I'll try and get a post up today.
Sorry about the delay guys, I'm swamped here. I'll get the other group moving again as soon as I can!
OK I got the first of two posts up to transition the fight. I'll give you a little time to respond before I make the next post.
The next post is up. Your goals: Those aligning with Magnalian need to escape, and regroup later. Those with Isel can respond and attack if you choose. Just remember that Greywind, now supercharged into god-mode, is NOT an NPC. Isel, only concerned with Magnalian, will choose not to fight Greywind and also retreat in the next post.
Well I sheathed Blade Edge, and with Greywind on the rampage, maybe retreat.... oh just remembered Erif is in control of Grulain now, well his sword is.
Got a post in. We're under attack again, thanks to me. Just so it's clear, the only way out is if we manage to slaughter all the infected (there's a lot of them), or get to the shuttle and lift off before they overwhelm us (assuming nobody has a different way to remove themselves from the situation).
Great job throwing in some more action Cheddar, and I'm glad Talzia didn't feel stuck up at the spaceship waiting for the rest of the team. I changed my mind last night, anyone who wants to have a mini-boss fight with with Greywind feel free. Otherwise, we can continue directly into moving the story ahead.
Thanks. I'm hoping that this battle will take longer, and be more challenging than the last one I threw at the group. Atlas didn't even have to raise his rifle in that one. Random fact: Atlas has uttered the word "damn" a grand total of 28 times, 14 of those are "goddamn"'s. I've made 28 entries into the game so far.
OK boys and girls, I'm out for the weekend probably. Have fun fighting ghouls, and supercharged Greywind while I'm gone. Try not to break anything...
Yay for the weekend! I got a post up. Sorry I'm not advancing the plot that much; Ekard's a relatively experimental character, and he's hard to do interesting things with. I'm so glad an RPG like this exists to play in; I can't really do any others at the moment due to school
Bleh. I wanted avoid having the battle end so quickly, and I doubt that one tree would have crushed all the infected I sent at the group. Unfortunately, it didn't work. I guess people don't like long fights?
I plan on having a few more ghouls, these things fought their creators who were robotic organisms, a lone tree will not hinder an energi ghoul for long.
Oops, sorry! I had misread your original post about the battle; I guess I read too quickly in an effort to get all the new plot advancements in my head. I thought it said there were just a few dozen of them I'll get to editing right now.
Not a problem, sorry for making it unclear. I didn't want to give a definite number since Atlas isn't a computer. And "hundreds" seemed like too much, so I settled for "dozens, or more".
Oh well, I settled for a little bit more than dozen.... or the illusion of it. but it should be fine. Makes it more challenging besides these are the fodder. Also we should round up some more of these 'random' facts.
