    A long time later

I don't even remember the last time I wrote in this forum. I do remember some of what I learned, though.

This weekend I reviewed a close friend's work, trying to get him a great job, and as I covered the text in comments and corrections I remembered the reviews I did here.

I missed you for a moment there.

I hope you're all having a great time.

Hmm... lot of changes since I was posting here. Definitely an improvement in the right direction, IMO.

    Hi.

Hello...I'm back again after...a long time? I think I may have the courage again to start contributing to the site (I'm very surprised I'm a contributor lol) besides, I've learnt so much writing skills from this site, it would be a shame to abandon it for ever. ^^

Hello guys.:) I've been on my writing travels for the last few years. Thought I'd drop by and see how things are hanging. Nice to see some of the old heads still around. The site looks good. I must have a look around the novels' section and see how things are going there.;)

Hello everyone, I joined this forum a while ago but never really got into it. But I'm back and I'd like to give this a shot :)

I'd half forgotten about this place until I got an email wishing me a happy birthday! I told myself I was going to start reading and posting here again. Sadly, some months went by but I didn't forget completely!

Anywho, I need to start writing seriously again and I'm hoping to find some drive by immersing myself in the forums again. Good to see some familiar faces are still about, though I don't think many will remember me. I'm a bit of lurker and all.

Still, it's great to be back. :)

Hey everyone, I'm just passing back through. I've had my hands full between my job and twin 10-month-olds (and my garden, and basic housework, and a car that has recently died...)but I'm hoping to be less of a ghost. Carry on :)

Wow, I really have been gone a while! Congrats on... everything! (err, well, except the car. Sorry about that.) Good to see you :)

Thanks Trish. It's been quite a ride and I'm not sure when things will get less bumpy. But I hear that suffering builds character(s), so I should have a trilogy or two in me by the time things quiet down again.

LOL That may actually be true, Kyle. I wish you luck! I went through hell over the last (almost) two years and just published the first book in my first trilogy, and the second trilogy is already mapped out, lol. I don't think my character is any better for it, but the writing certainly is!

And kids get easier, even twins. I don't have twins, but my niece is only 6 weeks younger than my son, and my sister lived with me when they were infants. I hope your twins are doing well. I know they often come early, and I've been there too. My daughter was 3 months premature (8 years ago). I hope you're not having to deal with that.

Mine were born at 32 weeks and a couple of days, 3 pounds 3 ounces and 3 pounds 14 ounces. It's been a long road but they are both healthy and doing great. My daughter, Kyla, has a fussy stomach at times, but that seems to be the only complication thus far (knock on wood). Congrats on your book!

    Thanks Cogito!
It's good to see that you are still around. I was sure that you were going to head for the hills there for a while.

Thank you, and I'm so glad they are well. My Emily was 2 pounds. It's terrifying, isn't it? So glad they are well! Those are good weights for 32 weeks :) Love the name Kyla! It's very pretty.

I always find myself wandering back to this forum every few months or so, even though I don't have much to contribute. For some reason it just helps to lurk around when I'm feeling down. Hope everyone's been well.

Oops! Sounds like someone has escaped the shackles from below deck. But ever so briefly. Fifty lashes and back to your oar! Damn it man! We need ramming speed!

I don't know if anyone remembers me. I am back. After years of unstable travel. Wonky pockets of space and time.

Just passing through as well... hi to anyone who remembers me.

Haven't been around these parts much since last years. Not doing much writing either, unfortunately. Busy working and now studying again part-time via the OU.

    Cheers.

Whew! What a quiet place this station is.
Well, it seems like I'm back. I don't know how many familiar faces I'll find around, it's been quite a while since I was here last.
I'm just in a place in my life where I need some place to escape, and this place always helped me before.
Plus, I hope I get inspired to start writing again.
