    Quick screenwriting setting question

Discussion in 'Word Mechanics' started by Legacy1306, Jun 22, 2010.

Okay. If a character is driving in a car, is the scene
    INT. CHARACTER'S CAR DAY
or, would it be more exterior-specific, like this:
EXT. NEW YORK CITY, CHARACTER'S CAR DAY

I'm pretty sure it would be the first one, but I'd like to be sure. Thank you in advance!

    proper format:

    INT. JOE'S CAR - DAY

then, below the slug line, you describe where the car is and what the occupants are doing... followed by their dialog...

    ...hope that helps...

    love and hugs, maia

Thanks, that's perfect! :D that's how I had written it, but I wasn't sure if it had been correct. Thank you!
