Hey guys ^^ I'm new here, as you obviously can tell.. My name is Catarina, also known as Cat, Neko or my self-nicknamed nicknames: PinPon or Cheshire. I'm 19 years old and I'm from Portugal. I'm a college student, in History of Arts, but I hate it, so I'm going to re-apply this year for Painting in Fine Arts University, or Translation. What I really really like is Urban Culture (kind of pop/youth culture al around the words such as street art, teen-relared books, dance, fashion, etc) though, but as there isn't such a thing, I'm settling for the second best. I've been into writing since my 7th grade, but as far as I can remember I've only finished two of my stories... I have the big problem of never ending them, which isn't good since I know how they're supposed to end.. :sweatdrop: I like to write fanfiction but I write more original fiction. I like character development and I'm a very discriptive person. Some of my stuff is really teeny stuff, but its ok.. I've been known to write stories with mature (and homosexual) content, so I hope it's not a no-go. Overall, I'm nice and I don't know what more to write.. meh nice to meet you all!! PS: completely offtopic... I like anime and manga too
Hi Cat - welcome! I'm pretty sure mature content isn't against the rules, providing you put 'Mature Content' in the title to warn younger reviewers (like myself!)
Hello Catarina, Welcome to the Writing Forums. Mature content is permitted to a limited degree. From the site Rules: If you haven't explored the site yet, you should probably do so soon. Newcomers often gravitate to the Lounge, the Word Games, or the Review Room, but there is much more to be discovered if you poke in the corners. Remember to check out our FAQ as well, and be sure to read through the forum rules, too, to avoid any misunderstandings or hurt feelings. Respect for one another is our principal mandate. As for the Review Room, new joiners often wonder why we do things a bit differently on this site than on other writing sites. We emphasize reviewing as a critical writing skill. Training your eye by reviewing other people's work helps you improve your own writing even before you present it for others to see. Therefore, we ask members to review other people's writing before posting work of their own. The Review Room forums on this site, therefore, are true workshops, not just a bulletin board for displaying your work (and on that note, please only post each item for review in one Review Room forum). See this post, Why Write Reviews Before Posting My Work? for more information. Enjoy your stay here, and have fun!
