The internet - as a kid I missed anime and manga sorely and didn't have any access. Now I can get my fill whenever I like! DOS game simulator - which means I can still own DOS games, one Chinese RPG in particular, and open it to listen to its awesome techno music whenever I like, even if I never play it anymore. Just knowing I can go visit that particular memory lane whenever I fancy is very nice. I know you said 2 things, but I'll add a third.
