When you Google yourself and find your published work and no trace of things you wouldn't want anyone to find :3

That's the motto I live by. If I'm having a bad day, I think up of things that I could've been experiencing like having cancer, and things of that nature and say that while my present situation sucks, at least I don't have that.

I always found this kind of thread pointless.

If you're greatful, then you're greatful for everything. I also think "Thanksgiving" is a pointless holiday.

You could enumerate countless things other people don't have that you are thankful for, and what does it change? Nothing.

    Selfishness

    Greed

    Theft, alcoholism

So you're saying this thread is just us going, "We're so glad we're not the people less fortunate than us"?

I think @Dagolas is suggesting that the goods aren't opposite to the bads, but composed of them on certain levels, that we should embrace all variants and understand our actions as made from them, similarly. @Dagolas could be bringing some "pessimism," too, though I think the truth is still there.

On a certain level, @Link the Writer, yes, this thread is us just going "Woo!" though on a different level, it's us being an observer opposed to an attached experiencer. It's both and neither, which is what I see in @Dagolas' post.
