    A Haiku Challenge

Discussion in 'Word games' started by dbesim, Jul 18, 2021.

The object of the game is to compose a haiku using the last line of the previous haiku to begin your new haiku.

To remind everyone that a haiku is a poem with three lines.
    Line 1 is 5 syllables
    Line 2 is 7 syllables
    Line 3 is 5 syllables.

    Let me begin:

    Sun-kissed wildflowers

    Blooming, giant sun-flowers,

    Yellow garden rose.

    "Yellow garden rose,
Now dull and brittle with age,
    A ghost of Summer."

    Shooby da doo wop—
    When language fails us, music
    touches the divine.

    Touches the divine
    While she is running roughshod
    Over the mundane.

    Kugelschreiber's inspired
    A thread filled with Grace

(Is inspired two syllables or three? Add a 'been' if you prefer)

    Better left untold -
    Life's value comes from living
    Not the recording
