New here, read my book anyone?

Discussion in 'New Member Introductions' started by BotSmash, Nov 11, 2007.

Hey I'm DJ. I'm 18 and I just made this account this morning.

I wrote a 400 page novel which I'm trying to get published at the moment. It's a young adult thriller that's been rewritten more times than the amount of colleges I've applied to.

If anyone is interested in reading it, I posted half of it here:

Writing.Com: DJ Azul's (djazul) Item List

It's called Conspiracy of Cyrus: The Invisible War

Give it a shot if you like thrillers.

If you would like anyone to read your piece you are best to post it here on this forum as many dislike going other places to read peoples work.

I'd be more than happy to take a look if it wasn't on another site myself.

Well enjoy your time here with all of us and I hope you decide to stick around. Enjoy your stay and good luck with your book.

    Welcome to the site.

I'll happily read some of it, particularly because writing.com is a site I quite like. :D

Hello DJ, Welcome to the Writing Forums.

If you haven't explored the site yet, you should probably do so soon. Newcomers often gravitate to the Lounge, the Word Games, or the Review Room, but there is much more to be discovered if you poke in the corners. Remember to check out our FAQ as well!

As for the Review Room, new joiners often wonder why we do things a bit differently on this site than on other writing sites. We emphasize reviewing as a critical writing skill. Training your eye by reviewing other people's work helps you improve your own writing even before you present it for others to see. Therefore, we ask members to review other people's writing before posting work of their own. The Review Room on this site, therefore, is a true workshop, not just a bulletin board for displaying your work. See this post, Why Write Reviews Before Posting My Work? for more information.

Enjoy your stay here, and have fun!

Hello there and sorry I haven't read it yet. I agree with the others though if it were posted on this site we'd be more likely to cast our eyes over it. Welcome to the site and see you around. :)

Welcome! It's nice to see a novel which is longer than mine ;) But I'm not sure I could read it very quickly, perhaps by February? Anyhow, I'm sure you'll like it here and will get helpful opinions. If you need anything feel free to PM.

    Dear Writer,

Welcome to one of the fastest growing writers forums on the web. I’m sure if you hang around long enough you’ll begin to make new friends and enjoy becoming a participating member of the writersforum.org. I am sure that you as a new member will bring something unique and valuable to the forum, as well as find it an interesting and wonderful place to explore and learn more about the wonderful world of writing.

I have been away for awhile myself, and unfortunately have not been able to keep up with greeting the large influx of new members personally. Please forgive, but except my sincerest and belated welcome to the forum.

    Cordially yours,

    Trailer Trash
