If you could trade places with a character in a book who would you trade with, what book are they in, and why???
Lucy Pevensie from The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe...to have so much faith and to be full of life...Not to mention, I would love to meet Aslan...truly, I would never leave Narnia!! In truth, I believed in the fairy-tales I read to my children as much as they did...*wink*
I would totally be... um... none of them. Is it just me or do all book characters have to have messed up lives? haha I like mine just fine.
Oh, I dunno, some almighty wizard from somewhere. Maybe Aragorn, cause he bags a hot elf. Boromir for dying so valiantly. Gandalf for fighting demons and being all round awesome. Fantasy is so cool. Write a book about your completely unremarkable life and see how well it sells.
I don't have a character in mind. but I would be one of those characters you envy because they have grown up with this amazing guy and they fall in love without even noticing it. x
ugh! I know what character I'd like to be, but I can't remember her name <my loaf might get offended by that... hee hee> But the female character in Shutterbug by Daniel I Russell, just cause I love the fact that after all she has been through in the story, she manages to get through it all. Kind of reminds me of myself in a way. Coming up against the nastiest of obstacles/events in life, and still able to get through it in the end...
I would want to take the place of Harry Potter. Just I don't want glasses, a scar, and to much teenaged angst. All though the Harry Potter books are written in a simplistic form I still love them very much. There is something almost fanatastic to find out that you are something amazing. I would want to be able to be lifte from my same boring routine of a year and be whisked somewhere different. I think its a natural feeling to want a more exciting life. That is why I woould want to be any character like Harry Potter. I would want a life that was exciting and magical. Either that or there is a Greek book about a Sociopathtic killer who kills everyone and never gets caught because he fakes empathy and other systematic feelings. I would want to be that character as well.
Definitely Stephanie Plum, despite all the crap she goes through she has two gorgeous guys after her and a pretty cosy lifestyle
The time traveller, from H G Wells' The Timemachine, because I'd love to know what it's like to travel in time...
Paul Sheldon from Misery by Stephen King. He was a very cool guy, and he was already a writer, so he is getting payed to write? AWESOME! Benny Profane from V. by Thomas Pynchon. A very funny young man who gets up to a lot of mischeif. or Jack Ryan from a number of novels by Tom Clancy He had such an interesting life, and then became President, what more could you want?
He was also kidnapped and tortured by an obsessive fan... Anyway, I'd be Lestat from The Vampire Lestat - By Anne Rice.
I switch with Edmond Dantes from The Count of Monte Cristo. He has some heavy I.Q. and money. or with kyon from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (Except its a light novel so i don't think it counts)
Menolly from the Harper Hall of Pern. She gets to ride dragons and write songs. What could be better.
Oooooh, in lieu of Lessa's reminding me of the Pern series, I'd also have to consider Jaxom, from the same series. Because being a dragonrider and a Lord Holder is pure cool
