The Things you Learn When Writing

Discussion in 'Character Development' started by Antaus, Nov 26, 2017.

This isn't a request for help or anything of the like, I just wanted to share a recent personal insight. When I write stories, I generally write the story from multiple perspectives. The thing is though I often have problems getting various characters to a point where they directly interact with each other. The insight I had recently was when writing a story and facing this exact problem. Getting annoyed by this I skipped over the POV #2 and just started writing chapters for POV #1. While doing that I started to see what the MC from POV #1 was doing and how the MC from POV #2 would not only react, but how they would be like 'Oh no you didn't' and do something themselves instead of just being reactionary.
