    About Map Making...

Discussion in 'The Lounge' started by Marcelo, Jun 19, 2008.

I suck at drawing maps xD
And the problem is... I'm trying to create a fantasy setting, but I can't make it because I don't even have the map of it. Can someone draw a map for me? :D It'll be fun! I'm going to leave the details below:

There are going to be 4 cultures: Chinese-like (south), English-like (Western), Persian-like (East) and Barbarian-like (North).

    Persian-Like: Desert Region.
    Barbarian-Like: Snowy Mountanous region.
English-Like: Many Forest and Hills and the Ye Olde U.K. stuff.
    Chinese-Like: Dunno... Chinese-Like?

I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY appreciate anyone who wants to do the map. I'll send you a message with my e-mail after you offer... Thanks!

You should hit google. There might be some tips you can find on map drawing, or even programs. It isn't hard to draw a map. I can't offer my services as I have too much on my plate at the moment, but google it and see what you come up with.

Why do you need a map? A rough sketch of relative locations and distances for the settings you are using should more than suffice.

The real problem is... Well, I always get stuck. I start creating the flora & fauna but then think "hey, were are these animals going to live?" and I want to create the geography then. But then I think, "shouldn't I create history first?" and then I get all stuck >_<. Yeah, Google can help! As an Old Saying goes:

"If it isn't in Google it doesn't exists"
