    Alliteration again

Discussion in 'Word Mechanics' started by Pompom, Oct 2, 2019.

    Ned needs Dean dead.

Basic question - most definitions tell me only the first letter qualifies, so the above has two alliterative pairs. Some definitions are more flexible.

Ned and dead are presumably assonance, as are needs and Dean.

Are all the D's and E's consonance?

The N’s and the D’s are the elements of the consonance as I understand it.
    The E’s being the assonance.
