I am researching into the 1950s America but I am hoping to make a digital model/scene of 1950s America. I was wondering if there is anyone who is writing or has written a piece for a film or game based on this era, for me to base my model on. Or any ideas where I can find such stories? Any Ideas? Thank you
Blast from the Past. Although set in more modern times the main characters parents are stuck in the 50's. It looks like they spent a lot of time on the set, might give you some Ideas.
How about the NY Times monthly bestseller lists from that time? Also, Sue Grafton's S is for Silence has many chapters taking place in the daysw surrounding the swubject's disappearance. It's a pretty good snapshot of the time (I was a child in those years).
i lived through the 50s, from age 12 to 21... in suburban new york; nyc; st. pete, florida; various areas of LA; hollywood; and several towns in los angeles county... so if you just want to pick my brain, drop me a line...
Hello! Any memories you have would be great. I don't suppose you have any photos at all maybe as this would help my research massively. I was hoping for something someone may have written that isn't a commercial thing. Rather than a student or personal piece rather than something that has already been made into a film/tv show etc.
no photos other than those in my mental memory bank... you can email if you want any details... you can find plenty of photos with a google image search... what does that leave?
