An Alternative Way to Say This

Discussion in 'Word Mechanics' started by TheApplicant, Mar 20, 2017.

Hi, I am seeking synonyms (exact or near-) for the phrase "financial stake."

For privacy-related reasons, this post must remain contextless.

I will, however, add that "financial incentive/reason" will not work … for reasons related to the context of which you are not aware.

Or, rather, because of the subtle difference between an incentive and an actual stake …

I sincerely apologize for the circumstances (or my inability to overcome them) that prevent(s?) me from shedding further light on the matter.

All comments welcome, even those asking me to provideurther context or the whole sentence, etc.

    Thank you in advance.
