    Andy's Progress

Discussion in 'Progress Journals' started by AndyC, Jun 12, 2014.

I actually think this section is a great idea. I'm in need of some motivation right now, and I'm the kind of guy who works better under pressure.

I'll start with something simple, though. I'm currently working on a story, it's on the "creative" phase and it's really messy, but I'm actually having a lot of fun. I'm about 5 thousand words in it, so I'm going to give myself one week to get to 10 thousand. Let's see how that goes.

    Wish me luck :D

Thank you, @minstrel ! I don't know if anybody else has read this, but I actually made some progress :D. This seems to be a good method, so I'll give myself another week to get to 20 thousand words.

    Good luck Adam..

Just remember not to trip over on quantity over quality.

But if Jack Kerouac wrote On The Road in about 3 weeks you have a slight chance :agreed:

Well, I got to 20 thousand. I guess I'll keep doing this one week challenges for myself, they are helping me a lot :)

@Chesster At this point, I want everything I can come up with, because I'm still developing the story. If I end up with 500.000 words about it, that would be absolutely great. I can start worrying about quality when I get to the editing phase, if I ever get to it :p
