    I recommended a few :p.

PS: I love Wash. I think the comedy is much improved now that a "voice of reason" has been thrown into the chaos XD.

OK leaka, what SCIFI animes would you recommend, besides gundam, outlawstar, and cowboy bebop. (LOL don't need a link, a name will do fine.)

    S-cry-ed
    Blue Gender
Neon Genesis Evangelion (and the Death and Rebirth OVA's)
    Akira (this one is awesome)
    Full Metal Panic
    Blue Submarine No. 6

As listed in my previous post I still suggest Eureka Seven, Code Geass, Noein, and Ghost in the Shell.

Alot of them mix in other genre's though like fantasy, supernatural, and so on.

    Noein is awesome.
    A must watch.
Eureka Seven, was good kind something I watched when I had nothing else.
Ghost in the Shell is a must watch as well.

Oh, and I put my personal thoughts on your choices.

    You should watch Moonlight Mile.

Code Geass, GitS and Noein are my favorites. Plus what with the Matrix taking a lot of it's cues from Ghost in the Shell its possibly one of the most important Cyber Punk films ever created (the only work more powerful is Neuromancer). EDIT: The inspiration for my 003 and 013 was Ghost in the Shell. I'm not afraid to admit it :D.

Noein is definately a must watch too. Karsu rocks XD.

BS No. 6 is pretty boring but it is sci-fi so I put it up there XD.

The only bad part of NGE is probably the ending, and both are pretty bad. or is it one? They never made it that clear...

Oh and I think we criminally forgot Trigun.

Yeah, but when I watch Trigun I don't think sci-fi.
I think action/ adventure with some mechanical themes place in it.

    Karasu is my favorite character.
    He kicked butt.
I didn't like Yuu even though he was Karasu's former self.

NGE has a movie I believe and it has a different ending then the anime.
    I believe.

I was sort of thinking Sci-fi with a western cowboy twist.

Agreed. Yu was a wimp, Noein was a wee bit psycho, but Karsu was unstoppably awesome.

That's sort of what confused me. They said that, but when you watch End of Evangelion, it really looks like it could fit into the Anime story line as taking place after episode 24. I watched it and thought it was an extension of the series and then was told it was an alternate ending and I was like... what?

Maybe, but there was barely any sci-fi going on.

Yeah, but they were all Karasu.
Karasu was Karasu in his dimension.
Karasu was Noein in Noein's dimension
Karasu was Yuu in Yuu's dimension

Yeah that confused me as well.

The same thing with the X 1999 film.
It basically followed the whole anime, but instead of Kamiu dying Fuma dies.

I'm going with Blue gender, gungrave (my personal fav right now.) Elvan lied, petite portrait de cossette and if you like classics, grave of the fireflies

okay ive looked thru the bulk of these anime's and they all seem fantastic and im none too pleased about lordofhats attempted invasion of Souji-occupied Hatland, but to be honest ive been severly corrupted by Rurouni Kenshin and all the other sword slashers like Claymore is it possible that someone can filter the sword slashing ones?:(

Sword Slasher's eh? Not my genre but I know a few:

Samurai Champloo, 26 Episodes (It's really, really, really, weird but the fights are pretty good and the characters are quite entertaining).

Have you ever seen Ronin Warriors (50 Episodes I think, it's been awhile)? It's really old but it was a pretty good Anime. I enjoyed it a lot.

Adult Swim recently began airing a new series called Guardian of Spirit, and it's been ok thus far (a little slow for my tastes though). I can't tell you much about it though we're only on episode 4 here in the States.

There's also a 12 episode adaptation of the game Devil May Cry that has a fair share of sword hacking and it's pretty good (surprisingly good actually).

There's also the 13 episode Reign: The Conquerer, a reimagining of the life of Alexander the Great. It's weird series but it was entertaining.

Bleach is a sword slasher, and you might enjoy it more than me. And there is Inuyasha but I think almost everyone has seen that one XD.

EDIT: Black Cat has some swash buckeling in it too, and there is the anime One Piece where sword fights are quite common.

I can't believe I forgot it, but there is an American animated series that ran for three season called Samurai Jack. It's quirky and very unique (with a lot of references to pop culture and mythology) but it is a truly spectacular animated series. I think there are just under 70 episodes and if you do choose to watch it, I can't recommend the episode "Jack and the Spartans" enough.

The maker of the show also produced a short 25 episode micro series for Cartoon Network titled, Star Wars: Clone Wars (not related to the horrible movie that just came out and the questionable series that comes out this october).

Anime is my forte, though I have been known to have really weird tastes occasionally (ie. Speed Grapher, Paradise Kiss). However, I see already a lot of stuff I would recc, so I'll throw some of my faves on a platter with the rest:

    Otogi Zoshi

Yes, there are swords. And monsters. And a girl who slays them :)

    Fighting Spirit!

Boxing, but I swear you wouldn't regret checking it out.

    Read or Die

Nope, no swords. Just very dangerous paper.

    Gunslinger Girl

It says may contain "bad language" , but I don't recall hearing any in the original Japanese audio. I can't vouch for dubs, as I don't watch them. I seriously reccomend you try this anime out though.

hey Still Life do you watch online or buy because im having a particularly hard time finding Otogi Zoshi, with the exception of a few videos on you tube i is stumped.

Thanks to everyone who recommended Samurai Champloo, i find it quite hysterical the way Jin and Mugen are always at eachothers throats especially during the eating contest when they lost their swords:p

Yeah, Jin and Mugen's chemistry is really what keeps the series afloat :D. Without their Sarge/Griff style relationship there really wouldn't be much reason to watch :p.

Yes and like Sarges battle plans most of mine include Soujiroseta charging into battle without armor and an unloaded weapon with a bulls eye on his head... ah... by bulls eye I mean camoflauge...
