My wife bought me Daniel's first book - Daemon - as a gift. I read it through in a couple of days, then within a couple of weeks I read it again. Once I get through the pile of un-read books next to my bed I'll have my forth (?) go at it. I love the story, the subject matter, the characters, the action, Daniel's writing style... I was even more impressed when I learned it was his first published novel. Next time I read it I'll pay more attention to the "technicalities" of the writing - given the book had such an impact on me, I figure I should be able to learn a lot from it. I haven't read Kill Decision yet, but I'm going to order it shortly. Looking forward to it.
