    Novice Publishing Question

Discussion in 'Traditional Publishing' started by washboardalex, Jul 8, 2011.

Hey Guys, I've just had a short story published and the publisher wants me to write a short "exert" to be published alongside it. What is this, and what sort of information should go into it?

Possibly, but then why would I have to write it? Don't they just pick which part they like then and copy-paste it?

I think what they probably want is a paragraph about who you are, not an excerpt.

Look at their magazine, and see what other contributors have with their stories.
