    Who else liked Artemis Fowl?

Discussion in 'Discussion of Published Works' started by Good_writer, Nov 26, 2007.

Frankly, i simply loved Artemis Fowl and all of its sequels. It was really good.
My best one was the third book: Artemis Fowl and the Eternity code.

My friend likes them, and insists I read them.
But I have no real interest in the books.

I tried to get into that series, but I couldn't. So I just stuck with A Series of Unfortunate Events lol. Then I slowly faded from those too...

I read Artemis Fowl I long time ago when they were first released. I soon grew out of them.

They were great, back when I was in middle school... (admittedly, I still read them, despite the fact that they're way under my level. But... shhh! :p)

The Eternity Code was great... it's the only one I have not owned at some point and yet it's one of my favorites. Mainly because it made me cry.

The first two were like a run on of each other, but I still liked them.

The whole mind-wipe thing into Opal Deception was kind of corny...but it worked. And I loved the Imp/Demon thing in the latest one.

^^So there you have it: My inner middle-schooler.

How many books are there now? My younger sister had one I'd never seen before.

There are a total of Five Books in the Artemis Fowl series, the latest one being: Artemis Fowl and the Lost Colony. The sixth book, Artemis Fowl and the Time Paradox, is out for 2008, though the month hasn't been confirmed yet. And also, the author of the Artemis Fowl series, Eoin Colfer, has written another book called Airman, which will be released in January 2008. If anyone's interested, I have posted the first chapter of Airman in Book discussion.

I hated them. I started to read the first Artemis Fowl book for some bok readthon thing we did in year seven at school and it was the most boring book ever. House of Eyes and Stravaganza however were a completely new story.

    Hated them!!!?!!!???11 Scandalous!!
Okay, just kidding, I don't care that much. I do however think they're a great series of books. Admittedly I'm 14, around the age they aim at, so it's probably natural for me to like them.

I was about eleven I thnik, maybe 12, and I hated them. I just thought they were boring. We actually met the author of them as they had came to a local libary to read out an extract from the latest of the series. It was soo boring.
