    Article: Writing a Novel Synopsis

Discussion in 'The Lounge' started by TWErvin2, Nov 2, 2009.

    Hey WritingForums Folks,

Fiction Factor published my article, Writing a Novel Synopsis. If you've ever struggled with writing a synopsis, think you might one day, or are just curious (as many hear focus on short fiction and poetry here), click on over and give it a read.

Great article, Terry. I read it this morning.

I have also added a link to it in this thread, for which it is completely relevant.

This was very helpful. I’ve been dreading writing a synopsis, and I’m almost to that point.

Cogito, thanks for moving it to the proper place.

DragonGrim, glad you've found the article something that will be of use. Writing a synopsis is rarely an easy task.

if you don't mind my repeating myself, cog:

good stuff!... should be required reading for all who ask how to write one... how about putting this link in a sticky, somewhere that's appropriate, cog?

how about above the 'publishers' section?

I have already done so, Maia. And I'll look around for other links to add to the new sticky when I have a chance,
