Artistic side boob for an erotica cover

Discussion in 'Erotica' started by Vicky, Oct 12, 2015.

(Smiling) Legal or illegal? Would this make it past the KDP reviewers?

    Thanks in advance,
    Vicky

    Hi,

Don't know I'm afraid. It would at the least raise some red flags I would think and make them look at the content of the book. You might be more able to get away with it on a book on art history than a book on erotica. Easiest way to find out is to ask them - also check the TOS.

    Cheers, Greg.

As to the rules at KDP, no idea. Personally, I don't think it's over the line. It's very stylized and frankly it's time we got over boob shock value.

I see no problem whatsoever on Kindle. Take a look at the other adult materials on Kindle. As long as you're not showing areola or pubic area it seems to fly.

    It's amazing.
We can have fantasy stories that feature wanton slaughter, murder, rape, and all matter of depravity... but god forbid we show a women's nipples?

I might accept censorship, so long as it's coherent.
A writer paints a picture with words, an artist paints a picture with paint.

You can show them on the inside of the book.
