I mostly do sketches and doodles of animals... Well, I draw people, but they look awful. I'm not going to measure up to the awesome drawing by everyone else so I'm not even going to attempt posting a picture of anything vaguely humanoid... In descending order of sophistication of drawing program, photoshop, paint.NET, and just plain paint. Here's a doodle of a crow I did: A frog I designed with the vague intention of maybe getting it as a tattoo except I never did (It was going to be tiny - like, an inch or so long) And an elk I sketched as part of a daily drawing thread on another forum:
I have an account, but I pretty much just put photography on there and it's freakishly out of date. I keep meaning to take an afternoon and put up a proper portfolio of every picture I'm proud of having taken or drawn. TheNewPeter, your watercolour skills are frightening and amazing. I never realised the sort of amazing texture you could get for such subjects - always wrote it off as pastoral landscape-paints... but it makes sense. As a kid when I used watercolours they all just ended up various horrible shades of murky brown and grey.
This is about the extent to which my art skills go to... lol I'm diggin the frog in the candy wrapper, that's cool.
D'aaw, adorable trees. Though, the landscape drawing is pretty good - I reckon you could really do something good with it if you sat down and sketched and didn't add goofy faces
THankyou, I think I'll be doing a few new studies now, not sure what yet, I take alotof time doing one, but I may have a few new water colour aditions here in a few days ^^.
Wow, you can all draw so well! (And I do mean all, I would individually comment on each drawing but I'm too lazy and it'd take too long ) I would post some of mine, but all your drawings make mine look incredibly amateurish.
Heh, mine probably don't. I'm uploading stuff to my dA account at long last. It's all photos/sculpture at the moment - I've barely scratched the surface.
I keep looking at this thread title and going, "Hey, I'm an artist!", but then I remember it means like painters and drawers and stuff, and I feel excluded.
Aww. I do weird sculpt-y art things sometimes. I wobble along between arts and crafts and actual sculpture... Did ceramics for a while. Hmm. I think I just got done uploading them on my dA yesterday... Well, this turtle teapot is my pride and joy. Aaand another turtle And I'm quite proud of these 2 bowls: I only did one class of this, so that's pretty much it until I find someone with a kiln I can buddy up to.
Mel, I love your pottery. The glaze is so beautiful and shiny. w176, you really have a way with trees. The first one should be a greeting card. So, apparently, my paintings have gone 'missing' in the attic. I really don't know what happened to them. Last autumn there was a major overhaul of the junk that was up there. So, instead of the paintings I have promised, here are some I did today to abate my disappointment.
Very nice, I like how the one boot is a bit askew from the other, like the character is primed to take action, though the detailed sword also makes that point.
