    Today: nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing...

Our youngest is sick. I don't know the english word for enterorokko. Internet translators offer me "hand, foot and mouth disease". I suppose it is not right?

It is impossible to me to work. Can't do it. No way.

Youngest is sick. Very hard to work.

I still could write one short episode of 697 words today.

Shitty First Draft is 32 pages now.

Two kids sick and home all day long.

    Only 647 words.

Not even much background work. Just wasting time in some boards.

Yesterday with two sick kids. 1 231 words.

    Today 1 127 words.

You can't compare word count in Finnish language straight to English. An example:

"Kauppakeskuksen pysäköintipaikkalla Pippa..." In Finnish that is 3 words.

"In the parking lot of the shopping mall Pippa..." In English that is 9 words.

I suppose that 1 000 words in Finnish equals about 1 300 words in English.

    On the page 71.

My neighbour read my text yesterday in one go. Several people have read some of it. He was the first one who read it all.

    Thank you.

It is in Finnish. If it was in English it would be something like 1.3 * 2 708 ≈ 3 500.

    Se oli suomeksi. Englanniksi siitä tulisi noin 1.3 * 2 708 ≈ 3 500.

You can see the word count difference.

    Today 1 348 words.

There is still much, much more self written background material than pages on the draft.

Just counted the amount of self written background material. It was 125 A4 pages. Character papers and beat sheet is biggest and most important part of that.

    Writing draft only 361 words.

    One character paper. 981 words.

Few hours of studying two different topics. (Nordic Noir + something else.)

Total word count is a bit over 30 000 - in Finnish.

It equals a bit over 39 000 words in English.

    Story is going forward.

    1 325 words today.

    Studying one topic.

Seems that pace of the writing is quite constant. I think that is more important than having superproductive days with uneven pace.

My midpoint is more like a midcurve. And curving has started.

    1 028 words.

    Studying 1-2 topics.

Studying topics related to writing while writing seems to work well to me.

I write short episodes. When I write I do one episode and then I do something else. I don't do transitions from episode to next. I jump.

This kind of public progress journal is new thing to me. Seems to work well when work goes forward.

Just now this thread has 45 replies and 547 views. I wonder who views this. Other journal keepers? Nameless visitors? Santa and his elves?

    Starting was difficult.

    Also developing something else.
