    Regional, national hilarious insults

Discussion in 'The Lounge' started by erebh, Jun 20, 2013.

I heard a guy earlier insult another guy in the street, (here in France) I thought it was hilarious

"Ta mere est tellement petite, que sa tete pue des pieds!"

It translates as, "Your mother is so small her head smells of feet!"

I just thought it was so absurd maybe it would be fun to put your favourite insults here.

You will often here latinos in heights of emotional frenzy declare, "Eres un anormal! It simply means, "You're abnormal!", but 'round these parts, themz go-git-the-riffle words. ;)

    'Knob 'ead'

It's short, blunt, to the point, has all the needed information, and you don't have to take it seriously. It's a great phrase. It can raise a smile as well as be an insult.

It follows on from 'knob 'ead'... 10% more brains and he'd be pondlife.

Balkan insults are the worst I have ever heard in my life. I've never heard anything quite so vulgar and yet, the true meaning is no longer really recognised, they simply roll off the tongue. I dare not translate them here, though :D But there are creative ones too, such as "Drži se kao kurac u sladoledu". It's an expression used for someone who is behaving very stiff, cold, you know when people mind but won't say so? It literally means "He holds himself like a dick in ice-cream".

I tend to like simple insults the best; I heard 'septic bellend' once which I quite enjoyed. I also really like the 'numpty', as it's fun to say and is quite lighthearted :)

Haha. I love those too! :)

I take very few things seriously, I don't like resentment, so when it comes to insults I really like the light-hearted ones.

Not actually a insult I have heard in real life, but one of the most absurd came from a film which did make me chuckle:

'Well, if it isn't my favourite cheese eating dick monkey'

Is it sad that my first reaction isn't to laugh, but to furrow my brow at the lack of hyphen in cheese-eating?

I am such a grammar nazi and it explains why I have no friends.

I actually told a gas station employee that their sign on the front door should say, 'Part-time help wanted' and not, 'Part time help wanted'

I laughed because I misunderstood it due to the lack of hyphens, or more like my mind hyphenated it wrong in my head. "Look at that cheese, it's eating dick-monkey!"

I love military insults, which, I guess, can also be counted regional and national.

"Have a nice cup of suck it the fuck up, clowndick." -- almost poetic!
    "a brokedick private"
Or when someone looks like hell, they look like a bag of dicks.

Not sure what's with the abundance of dicks, though.

'Radge wee minger' Scottish insult meaning you're crazy, tiny and filthy. Christina Aguilera was called it while on tour to Edinburgh, she took it as a compliment - daft mare!

I had a very openly gay friend from the South (USA) who would routinely say "Boy, you're about as wrong as two men fuckin'". Never sure just how wrong that was, considering the source.

Here's an insult no one seems to understand (sometimes):

Je ne me souice pas ce que vous pensez.
(I don't care what you think!)

This is kinda fun - translating insults! I like it!

More than anything, when it crosses cultures, how impact can also be so hard to predict even when the insult is understood. ¡Eres un baboso! which means you're slobbery in Spanish, is easily one of the most aggressive insults we have here. When you say it in English, it loses quite a bit of its impact. o_O

I don't really hear any international insults but I like this thread - you have to admit 'hysterical' & 'insult' in the same title has to be great - especially when you're trying to find an outlet for a negative emotion.

ANYWAY, I Googled insults several different ways. Didn't find what I wanted. But I did learn that most insults are about mothers. :( And Donald Trump is apparently becoming synonymous with 'insult'! haha

I'm not sure where Wreybies resides, but I'm sure it's a Spanish speaking country.
Anyway, here in Argentina they have some choice curses, one of which is particularly graphic:
"Ay, la concha de tu madre!" (substitute madre with parrot, sister etc)

My grandfather (rest his gentle soul) had road rage. He said this once when we were going somewhere in San Diego.

"You all drive like sacks of wet assholes!" This came out of an 80+ year old man. :p

Here is one from where I am presently.

"Look for lovin across the street, not the hall."
