She mentioned it in her Experiment in Non-Promotion thread but I think it deserves recognition here. :D

Thanks, guys! It is pretty exciting... although I'm already looking forward to the bitterness of ultimate defeat...

    Hey, you're still a finalist!
Maybe they have a pretty button you can put on your webpage so you can add to a hall of fame :3

I use my magical powers of diabetes. I give you the blessing of insuline, and suddenly you win. The end.

Congratulations. I read through the list of nominees, and they sure have some strange categories. I could just imagine Mathew McConaughey and Sandra Bullock standing in front of a podium reading the nominees for best novel about a transvestite in a Sci-Fi series. It just seems like they could have combined some of the categories in my opinion.

Holy Shit. I just saw this thread. CONGRATULATIONS! Most folk are just worried about getting published and you're a finalist for an award! That's fantastic. I hope you win, but even if you don't, this is a tribute to your skill and success at what you do. Well done.

Unfortunately I'm not eligible. Otherwise I'm sure I'd be in contention.

Yup. One qualification, and I don't meet it. Otherwise, it'd be all mine!

It's a repeat - I took it off for a while because I had another book come out in between, but this one comes out today, so... it's back!
