Bonjour Writing Forums. I'm Brittany, and I am 10 years old. I love to play soccer, skateboard, and do science experiments. I like to watch wrestling(WWE)! I am interested in writing poetry and short stories. I would love to make my writing better, and read others stories. I am in the fifth grade, and I am making a's and b's. My sister is also on here, her name is Kasey. BamXkasey. That's how I got into writing and on this forum!
Bonjour Brittany, Welcome to the Writing Forums. Before I dive into the standard introduction, please make sure it is ok with your parents for you to join this site. We try to maintain a safe, inoffensive environment, but the content range of the site is targeted at about a PG-13 level. I'm not saying I don't think you could handle it, but it is really your parents' decision to make, not mine. After you've made sure it's ok for you to be here, you should probably thoroughly explore the site soon. Newcomers often gravitate to the Lounge, the Word Games, or the Review Room, but there is much more to be discovered if you poke in the corners. Remember to check out our FAQ as well! As for the Review Room, new joiners often wonder why we do things a bit differently on this site than on other writing sites. We emphasize reviewing as a critical writing skill. Training your eye by reviewing other people's work helps you improve your own writing even before you present it for others to see. Therefore, we ask members to review other people's writing before posting work of their own. The Review Room forums on this site, therefore, are true workshops, not just a bulletin board for displaying your work (and on that note, please only post each item for review in one Review Room forum).
