    Book Size

Discussion in 'Publishing' started by Suffolk, May 29, 2020.

I just published my first book, research into the USAAF in my local village during WW2 - printed in A5 paper size
This was suggested by my publisher as it was the most economcal size to print to keep my costs down
The book received excellent reviews but it was suggested that any reprint should increase the book size slightly.
As it happens I am already working on ver 2
    7 x 9inch possibly
What would be the next standard size above A5 ?
Looking online it appears that anything goes, but would my print costs rise if there was an excessive waste of paper due to trimming
Look forward to amy advice received
