Name: Abel Jefferson Age: 41 Bio: Abel was a Boston police officer for years. Before that he was in the Navy, and carries himself like a military man. He worked his way up through the ranks eventually getting out of uniform and becoming a detective heading the Major Crimes Squad. For years he worked high profile cases involving serial killers, mobsters, kidnappings, and grand theft. That is, until the incident. Just before making a high profile arrest against the Irish Mob, Abel came under scrutiny for the murder of a Confidential Informant. His gun had been used, and a large sum of money was moved from a known gangster into his bank account. The investigation was halted, and Abel suspended pending investigation. In the meantime, he started investigating himself, and found out that one of the other cops in his squad was dirty, and had set him up to halt the investigation against the Mob. He confronted him with a hidden tape recorder, and got a confession. The other cop however tried to kill him once he realized what was happening, and Abel was forced to kill him in self defense. With the evidence he had acquired, he was able to clear his name, but the Boston PD didn't want him back, tarnished as he was. So, he moved out of the city to try and start somewhere new, and ended up in Great Barrington. He joined the local police department, and is once again a detective, one of only two detectives albeit and with very little to do in the sleepy town. He misses the life of a city Detective, and wishes he could go back, but is slowly growing in appreciation for the small town atmosphere. Occupation: Police Officer, Detective Personality: Abel grew up in Boston, and it shows. He is rough around the edges, and has street smarts and savvy. Underneath though, he is a genuinely good man who wants to help people and will take care of his own. Appearance: Tall at 6'2, well muscled, African American. Black close cropped hair, and brown eyes. He usually wears black slacks and a dress shirt and tie, befitting a detective, and tan overcoat with a upturned collar. Other: Abel carries a special Issue M9A1 military issue handgun, a holdover from his time in the military. ------------------------------- HI!!!!
