I'm afraid I have to insist that this thread return to its topic. It began as a lighthearted thread about "Bushisms", the verbal stumbling to be found in speeches and statements to the press.

We have plenty of polite (and it had better stay that way!) political debate in the Obama Wins thread.

ok, not a bookism, but a BUSH thing

I have recived heaps of emails over the years with the photo of Bush reading a book to children(the day of 9/11) and its upside down

Is that real or photoshopped? i was thinking the later, cause, i mean, come on ;)

Possibly Photoshopped, or possibly someone played a trick and put the dust jacket on the book upside down.

Im not sure if this was actually before or after the incident. If its after, it would actually make sense (he does look tired there)

It's not photoshopped (There are versions where it is) but the real picture he was holding the book upside down. What most people ignore is that he was told about 9/11 just as he was walking into the room, so his mind was kind of somewhere else. I wouldn't be reading a little book if I'd been told a plane was flown into my countries economic capital.

I'd nominate it as the second step. The first step was political correctness.
