    Prose-Poem Thing, where?

Discussion in 'Support & Feedback' started by Genesister, Jun 2, 2008.

I have a piece I wrote, but I'm not sure whether it's poetry or prose. All I know is that it's something I wrote. Would this go in the Poetry Section or somewhere else?

Choose whichever one you feel it fits in. Please do not post it in more than one place.

If you can't decide whether it is prose or poetry, though, it probably will not be viewed very favorably in either perspective. Each has its own criteria for quality, and there's not a lot of overlap.

I only say that I don't know because I've had different people tell me they thought it was poetry, and others call it prose. Personally, by my definition of poetry, I would put it under that.

Thanks for helping me make up my mind.

then put it there... if it's more prose than poetry, the feedback you get will reflect that and you can ask to have it moved, leave it as is where it is, or change it to make it more 'poetic'...

this has been done before by other members and on other sites i monitor, so you're not the first to be faced with such a dilemma...

    love and hugs, maia
