If you were stranded on a deserted island...

Discussion in 'Word games' started by Mcarpenter, Jan 28, 2009.

If you were stranded on a deserted island, and could only take one thing (anything!), what would it be?

My reply is always: A Library.

Les Stroud survival guru. Am I thinking too practically?
A sat phone with a full charge and a GPS so I can call for help and they can find me?
A boat so I can get the heck off the island?

Since a library is a little unrealistic and big...If I had to pick one item having nothing to do with survival...I would pick the collected works of William Shakespeare. Hours of entertainment there.

A single thing? Does that include my life? My right to breathe?

Then yeah, a satellite phone with batteries included...

LOL, my island is lush and tropical. If I had a full library...I wouldn't need to or want to leave. :D

You guys are no fun. :p

    MacGyver.

He could take a hermit crab shell, some coral, a shoelace and a few pieces of coconut husk and make me a helicopter so I can fly home.

    :D

I prefer Survivorman to Bear Grylls. Bear runs around too much and would get himself hurt. It is like he isn't just surviving...he is being chased. Les Stroud is cautious. That;s much more practical. Besides, Bear ruined his shoulder mountain climbing in Antarctica.

I would go for Ray Mears as Bear Grylls is a fake ... and how is he even remotely good looking??

    BBC Bear Grylls is fake

    Jack sparrow!

He'd be able to tie turtles together and use them as a way of escape.

...wait, no he wouldnt! that was a lie!

Oh well, atleast he's nice to look at :p

I'm gonna tell Matt that you prefer Jack Sparrow to him for deserted island companionship.
